Innovative technology in sleek form: The "Vortex 3" has caused a furore in the market of swimming pool cleaners. The special feature is the patentet cyclone technology, which provides a strong whirl inside the filter basket. This lets the gathered dirt move the hole time during the cleaning process, so that the dirt isn't able to clog the pores of the filter bag. Thereby the "Vortex 3" is able to soak up to four kilogrammes of dirt through the big suction opening which also lets pass rough particles of dirt. Wellness in a new dimension: Cooling off after the sauna is an experience of its own, not only because of the comfortable Sedea single seats but also because of the "Snowflake" cold-jet bath. The atmosphere temperature is regulated by a water cycle that is built into the walls, cooling the air to 15 - 17 degrees celsius. An ice dispenser placed at the center of the "Snowflake" cabin serves to those who like it more refreshing. For developers, it was important to withhold a consistent and adequate lighting as well as trim for the cabin. Aware of this, they decided upon cold and fresh looking materials and blue lighting. Approach of Uniqueness: The combination process "AFM / NoPhos", is a system that increases the power of filtration for pools for years to come. There are many new products – but not everyone is a new innovation which sustainably enriches the market. This is why the magazine „Schwimmbad & Sauna“ (www.schwimmbad.de), Europe's largest pool and spa magazine with more than 40 years of tradition, gives the „Golden Wave“ prize to pioneering developments in the field of pool and wellness technique every two years.

The practical use of these award-winning products is given priority – this is ensured not least by the jury of renowned and experienced swimming-pool contractors. Nearly 120 products were courting the favour this year.

The magazine gave three awards in everyone of the eight categories. The third prize in the categorie „swimming pool technique“ was awarded to the company Topras from Vaterstetten (www.topras.de) for the product „TopBoxx“.

The chief attraction of this innovation: The „TopBoxx“ comprises a complete technical swimming-pool room in a minimum of space. All components are precisely coordinated, integrated in the TopBoxx and re-examined in the factory.

Let your creativity run wild: The interior of the heat cabins allow for new arrangements with the "dice" formation. Its cube- shaped elements made out of northern aspe, can be combined with specially designed pillows with removable covers or roller grates. (Download PDF)

More comfort at an affordable price: "Pro Plus" is a semi-automatic water treatment, which combines an automatic distribution of chlorine with a mineral-based cleaning. The chlorine compartment is designed for ten permanent chlorine tablets and therefore safe for about two months of water disinfection. Add to this the so-called "Nature2" cartridge, which is filled with mineral ceramic beads on the basis of silver and copper. Because of the released mineral particles the bacteria, algae and microorganisms are beeing combated and so saving of chlorine.

The consistent modular "Impression" series allows the customer the choice. Because this series is available in many different variants, colors and materials and is the detailled answer to the trends in the private spa market: clean design, lots of glass, low space requirements and flexibility.

Pretty tricky: Normaly at this hotel pool the shutter cover shouldn't be seen in the open state. The company Rollo-Solar, specialist for shutter covers, therefor developed a fully retractable winding device which is located outside of the basin. This constructioon raises and lowers fully automatic.

Known material, new application: The whirlpool "AlpinSpa" for two persons is exclusively made of wood - primarily larch or nut. In the noble wood body the ventilation and massage degree are individually adjustable. The use of oils and essences in the "AlpinSpa" is possible without any problems because of the patented treatment of all wod surfaces.

The peristaltic pump "Dulcoflex DF4a" was specially developed for flocculent dosage. It is therefore for all applications in which flocculant should be added constantly and accurately. The "Dulcoflex DF4a" points - depends on the model - feed rates of 1.5, 6.0 or 12.0 l/h at an operating pressure up to 4 bar.

One model, four variants: With the stainless steel splash shower "Canon Jet Tahiti" change comes into play. Because this one-meter-high model has four different mouthpieces: Bell jet, flat jet, quattro jet and round jet. Thanks to a clever plug-in system the attachments are changeable in a snap.

Vario Pool System, a specialist for individual and high quality basins made of hard PVC, convinced the jury with an example for its high technical competence - a hanging pool. The whole basin is about 70 tons to 4.5 mm thick steel cables attached to the ceiling of the building, because the ground wasn't stable enough. The steel cables are mounted in the gutter.

Place is in the smallest hut - true this saying is offered here, despite minimal surface a maximum pool ambience. A system that never feels thight, but fits perfectly into the surroundings and thereby a "coherent" overall concept. Eyecatchers are the headlight that serve as a light show, delineation and decoration of the entrance as well. Simply brilliant - so the jury's assessment.

Colors, light, shapes and materials are well coordinated and emphasize the elegent ambience of this swimming pool.

Done more from little - here shows that it isn't necessary to invest an enormous amount for a beautiful swimming pool. The resources were used optimally and exactly. The pools presents simple and full of character, which skillfully sets the chimney in scene.

WKvario is the winner of the Golden Wave, awarded by the magazine Schwimmbad & Sauna, in the category swimming pool technology. WKvario ? simply genius: Wkvario is an automatic changeover valve that either directs the water flow through the counter current system or the massage jets. Hydraulic diversion is achieved with a venturi jet element which is controlled using the water adjustment on the counter current system. "Sedea" represents a single seat system for wet and rest rooms. The company Hofer Group GmbH has here implemented the aspects of hygiene, ease of cleaning and individuality in innovative form. Seat shells in certified hygienic sanitary plastic, individually removable and malleable. The sizes can also be varied. And: styles, themes and colors can be customized.

The bathing water is treaded in two ways with the "Duo-Clear-System". The system, that which was filed by D&W as innovation works automatically. It is controlled via a bypass through the filter system. The electrolysis cell produces an instantly soluble oxidant. The nature cartridge is enriched with active mineral ceramic beads on the basis of silver and copper. The liberated mineral particles combat bacteria, algae and microorganisms.

As the name says, "VariTab" from the company Bayrol varies the dissolution rate in two phases. Shock desinfection and long-term desinfection of chlorine-based is combined in one product. The blue part of the tablet provides the shock chlorination as well as the cleaning of the filter. The white part provides the basic disinfection of 1-2 weeks, with additional flocculant addition.

The Company Hofer Group GmbH of St. Christina in Italy received an award for a swimmingpool in the Bahamas. The basin consists of a very lightweight plastic material that can be shaped individually. Subsequently, the basin was lined with mosaic tiles.
